1. Successfully cataloged 3 Beethoven symphonies, a task I didn't think possible in just a couple hours of work.
2. Played at a Vaudevillian type show hosted by the Dresden Dolls entitled "Fuck the Back Row", with these guys. Oh, and I was dressed as an 18th century prostitute. Did I mention that?
3. Realized the Dresden Dolls are actually a really cool band and are currently on a national tour and holy crap... I opened for them!
4. Played outside the Chicago Historical Society for a wedding with a groom that wouldn't stop shaking and a bride that wouldn't stop giggling.
5. Ate appetizers at said wedding's cocktail hour that consisted of a tiny buscuit, a tiny piece of salmon, and a tiny lump of cream cheese. Ultra yummy.
6. Sat at home playing Zelda with my honey and got SMASHED on the two gin and tonics I made myself.
7. Forgot to mention this - I rode the El all the way home from downtown with my makeup from the Wenches show still plastered on my face and got TONS of stares in my direction.
8. I know I have a mixed audience with this diary, so I'll just say that I had... a pleasurable reaction to a night of fantastic events.
9. Played strip gin rummy. Period.
10. Ate an egg free lunch at Chili's and had no stomachache-y reaction. Coincidence?
11. Played Beethoven 9 to a nearly sold out crowd.
12. Had a celebratory Chipotle dinner with Alex, Elmee, Marley, Chris, and Foster... and suddenly realized that the time period it takes in each new place for people to get used to who I am is getting exponentially shorter with each location. I have great people surrounding me here. And I really love them.
Don't say musicians live aimlessly. These are serious accomplishments to be done in three days.
