    $9.11

    I was told, because of my many jobs at Northwestern, that I would receive a paycheck last Friday (which I did), and an adjustment check today. I did not receive the check, and called the paycheck guru on campus to figure out what was going on. He said that (without NU informing me) that my check plus the adjustment was already sent to me on Friday.

    Yeah, everything, including the stuff that I spent on rent (nearly all of it) and some catchup on groceries which was much needed. I was expecting more today, but I suddenly don't have it. This means that until a week from Friday, I have $9.11 to my name. With which I am expected to pay utilities, credit card bills, and loan payments. I'm no math whiz, but I don't think $9.11 stretches this thin.

    I'm off to get breakfast of some instant oatmeal. Ooh, but only one packet... better make sure I can make the oatmeal last, on account of the $9.11!!

    I could make some philosophical connection to cleansing out my bank account the way I'm cleansing out my life right now, but no go. This blows.
