Ribeiro and I talked about a lot of practice strategies in our lesson on Thursday, and they seemed pretty reasonable. What I have to keep reminding myself is that I now have an array of tools at my disposal, and I'm actually to the point of putting together all the pieces of the puzzle. He's no longer telling me I'm not paying attention to what I'm doing while I'm practicing, but instead insisting that I'm not focused enough. Which, after just an hour of practice yesterday, I found out was probably true.
Oy.
So it's a question of mentality. And a lot of what Ribeiro says goes back to my Fuchs days where he would preach, "If you were driving, and paid attention to every single little thing you were doing and what was going on ahead of you 100% of the time, chances are you would never get into a car wreck." It's true... and my mistakes can apparently be eliminated this way, too.
Mental stamina is now my focus for the month. The big question is: Can I Do It??

A big hug and congrats to Reva and Jared, who just became the proud parents of baby Solei. I wasn't able to leave a comment on her website to formally congratulate her. But her pictures are great - Congratulations, Reva! I'm so proud of you - she's perfect!
