    A Restoring Day

After over a week of hectic rehearsals, long work hours, and very little glory, this morning was a welcome change. Having not been able to get up any later than 8AM for the past couple of weeks (may not sound too bad, but most nights I don't even get home before 10:30), Tom let me lay in bed until 10 in the morning. I woke up feeling refreshed and pretty much like a brand new person. We leisurely watched an episode of Mr. Show and an installment of Chris Matthews (an eclectic mix if I ever heard one), and took ourselves out to Pita Pete's Healthy Eats.

Here is my review, especially coming from the Pita Pit in Greeley: IT ROCKS. It's got the same format as the Pita Pit except it tastes good. My gyros were fresh off the grill and Tom raved about his falafel. I then had the time to go grocery shopping (whaaaaat??) and even chill out for a little bit before Tom had to take me to work. I've only got 2 hours to practice today, but I'm not going to sacrifice the enjoyment of this day to squeeze in more. I'm actually legitimately happy - a feeling I haven't felt in a very long time.

Soon Thanksgiving will be here (which means the end of NUSO for the quarter... hurrah!) and I'll get to see my whole family - something I haven't done in years. Then just a mere few weeks before I get to hit LA, Colorado, and St. Louis for the Christmas and New Year season. I feel like I've just dragged myself out of a long tunnel I didn't even realize I fabricated until I was too far into it.

I'm far from smooth sailing, but I can still kind of barely make out the light. I'm just two quarters away from a masters degree.

I hate to toot my own horn, but damn, I'm good.
